Dr. Laux is currently Associate Professor of Computer & Information Technology at Purdue University, West Lafayette and... has developed a concentrated area in Lean Six Sigma where he teaches Lean Six Sigma Systems at the Undergraduate and Graduate levels in Computer & Information Technology. His teaching attracts a wide variety of student majors including Computer & Information Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, Supply Chain Management Technology, and Healthcare Policy and Management. During his 13 years in industry, Dr. Laux served primarily in Tier One organizations and managed Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Product Design functions. Elizabeth Cudney, Ph.D.
Dr. Elizabeth Cudney is an Associate Professor of Business Data Analytics in the John E. Simon School of Business at ... Maryville University. She received her B.S. in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University, Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and MBA from the University of Hartford, and doctorate in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri – Rolla. In 2018, Dr. Cudney received the ASQ Crosby Medal for her book on Design for Six Sigma. Dr. Cudney received the 2018 IISE Fellow Award. She also received the 2017 Yoshio Kondo Academic Research Prize from the International Academy for Quality for sustained performance in exceptional published works. In 2014, Dr. Cudney was elected as an ASEM Fellow. In 2013, Dr. Cudney was elected as an ASQ Fellow. In 2010, Dr. Cudney was inducted into the International Academy for Quality. She received the 2008 ASQ A.V. Feigenbaum Medal and the 2006 SME Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineering Award. She has published nine books and over 90 journal papers. Dr. Cudney is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Sandra Furterer, Ph.D.
Dr. Sandy Furterer is an associate professor at the University of Dayton in the Department of Engineering Management, Systems and Technology.... Furterer has more than 25 years of experience in business process and quality improvements, most recently as vice president of process transformation for a community bank. She holds a doctoral degree in industrial engineering with a specialization in quality engineering from the University of Central Florida, an master’s degree from Xavier University, and bachelor and master of science degrees in industrial and systems engineering from The Ohio State University. Furterer has deep experience helping healthcare organizations improve cross-functional processes and has mentored more than 75 Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt candidates and projects. She has also facilitated and/or mentored dozens of process improvement projects across healthcare, financial services, secondary and higher education, retail, telecommunications, local government, membership, and manufacturing organizations. Gaganpreet Singh Hundal
Gaganpreet Singh Hundal is a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer & Information Technology at Purdue University. He is currently working as a Graduate Research Assistant collaborating on a digital agriculture Internet of Things (IoT) sensors deployment project funded by Wabash Heartland Innovative Network (WHIN). He is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and has good industrial research experience working on data driven continuous process improvement projects. His research interests are inclined towards Lean and sustainable production systems, sustainable technology adoption frameworks, digital food supply chains and precision agriculture technologies.
